Dr Andrew Haughton
MBBS FANZCA, Fellowship sim, EMAC instructor
I was born and bred in Ballarat in Western/Central Victoria and went to Melbourne University and RMH as undergraduate. . I have trained at RMH, MMC, RCH and RWH and spent 2 years as a registrar in New Zealand. I spent my Provisional Fellowship in Simulation at Monash and this still remains a strong interest with a new simulation centre being completed in 2010 at the Base Hospital. My teaching interests extend to being the supervisor of anaesthetic training at North East Health Wangaratta and I am an APLS instructor. My anaesthetic interests include difficult airway management, ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia and paediatrics. My wife is an agricultural consultant and we run a small sheep farm just north of Wangaratta. I enjoy the farm, mountain biking, tennis, music (piano) and skiing.
